Payment

Is the payment secure? Is YOUBRIO registered and licensed?


Yes! All payments are processed by fully secure payment gateways that are Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI) Compliant. YOUBRIO is also a fully registered and licensed Australian company that is supported by Austrade and the Australian Government.




How do I get paid for lessons?


Once the lesson has been successfully completed, your set lesson fee will be immediately deposited to your YOUBRIO wallet.




How do I withdraw my money?


Withdrawals can be processed by bank transfer to an account of your choice or PayPal.




Is there platform or tax charges?


When teachers conduct lessons on Youbrio with their own students, it is completely FREE of any platform charges. Youbrio platform charges will only apply when the student is referred by Youbrio or users on Youbrio. There is a small surcharge between 0-3.5% (depending on the payment method) upon topping up your wallet with either credit card or PayPal, these charges are different to the platform charges described above. This small percentage is applied by third party payment gateways such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Paypal to ensure the security and convenience of lesson payments.




Do I need to declare Tax?


It is the teacher’s responsibility to declare their income for tax purposes in accordance to the taxation laws.





Booking

How do I create a lesson?


Tap ‘Create Lesson’ on the dashboard to create lesson slots. You can put in your available times and dates and set your own price. These can be set as repeating time slots or one-off.




What is the minimum booking time?


This allows you to set the minimum lesson duration that students can book as either 30 minutes or 60 minutes. The students can book for as long as they like based on your given availability.




Can any student book my lessons?


Any student is able to book your lessons however you have the option to approve or reject a student’s booking.




Where do I see my lesson timetable?


You can see upcoming lessons on your main dashboard page. For the full timetable please go to ‘My Lessons’.




What happens if I need to cancel a lesson(s)?


Teachers are able to cancel lessons at anytime, simply select the confirmed lesson booking and select cancel. When a teacher cancels, the student will not be charged for the lesson.




Can students cancel lessons after they have been booked?


Students are allowed to cancel lessons without charge provided it is cancelled at least 24hrs before the lesson time. If they cancel within 24hrs of the lesson, teachers will still be paid the full lesson amount.




How many lessons can I create?


You can create as many lessons as you like!




How do I connect with my own students?


Share your QR code to your students so they can connect with you and book lessons.




Can I have lessons with other teachers?


To have lessons, please create a separate student account.





Lesson

When can I start teaching?


You can enter the lesson room from 15 minutes before the booked lesson time to start teaching.




Can I see my students on YOUBRIO?


Yes, YOUBRIO lessons are all video calls which allows the student and teacher to see each other.




What happens if the internet drops out?


If the internet drops out it will automatically retry to reconnect. However, even if the call ends, you can still re-enter the lesson as long as it is within the lesson time.




What happens if my student doesn't show up?


If the student does not cancel the lesson at least 24hrs prior to the lesson time and does not show up, you will still be paid the full lesson fee. Teachers have the option of cancelling without charge.




How do I finish the lesson?


Once you have finished the lesson, you can end the call and tap ‘Complete Lesson’. You will be immediately paid once the lesson has been completed.




What happens if I forget the lesson?


Please ensure your notifications are turned on to allow reminders for upcoming lessons and lesson bookings. In the event of a forgotten lesson, teachers have the option of cancelling without charge.





Lesson Resources

What is the smartboard function?


The smartboard is an interactive learning space for teachers and students. You can upload documents and images to make markings on which can then be seen by your stduent This can also be a blank space which can be used to draw and take notes on.




How do I use the Smartboard?


The Smartboard can be accessed from the Home Page in ‘Lesson Resources’ or during a lesson. To upload content, press the + button.





Referral

How do I share teacher profiles with others?


To share a teacher with others, go to their teacher’s profile page and tap the share icon. This can be shared via message or posted onto social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram or WeChat.




What is the YOUBRIO Referral Rewards Program?


This is an optional program for teachers to opt-in. As a teacher, you can choose to be are part of the YOUBRIO Referral Program. By joining, you agree to give 10% lesson fees to the referring teacher or user as a referral reward. Together, we can connect all students in need with the most suitable teacher for them!





Profile

How do I set up my profile?


Complete your profile with information such as your qualifications, biography, which languages you speak and more, to allow students to understand you better.




What do the levels mean


Levels are used to show a teacher’s qualification. To upgrade your level, please submit your qualifications for approval.




What subjects can I choose?


You can choose any subject ranging from Music to Academics to Languages. More subjects are coming soon….stay tuned!




How do I get a rating?


Students can leave ratings and reviews after their lesson which will be displayed on your profile.




How do I set up a school's profile?


If you are school-owner or would like to set up a school on YOUBRIO, go to the menu sidebar and click on School/Organisation and register.
